How the Calculation Works

The calculation follows Bangladesh Labor Law 2006, Article 48(2), which specifies maternity benefits:

• Step 1: Add up the total earnings for the last three full calendar months, including eligible allowances.
• Step 2: Calculate the total working days over these three months, excluding holidays, unpaid leave, and absences.
• Step 3: Divide the total earnings by the working days to get the average daily wage.
• Step 4: Multiply the daily wage by 112 days (16 weeks) to determine the maternity benefit.
