I Love Blogging

Back in 2006 when I started writing in a Bengali language based Community Blog site known as somewhereinblog, I was not quite sure if I am really going to like this idea of Blogging or not. Even if I do, for how long? As a young individual I was being driven by so many new ideas and thoughts that I thought at some point down the line I might loose my interest on Blogging. Fortunately, that didn’t happen to me. Somehow I started writing by posting one of my poem. Perhaps, I was bit shy and couldn’t figure out what to write about. That was the beginning of my Journey.

Fast forward nine years, In 2015 I am totally a different person now. Lots of things has changed over the years and surely I learned a lot. What didn’t change though is my passion for Blogging. I think it actually grew couple of folds. Its well over nine years and I still feel like, I just got started and there are lot more things to write about. Sometimes I feel like I should have written far lot more than whatever I have so far.

I Love BloggingI Love Blogging.

Back then I never thought that one day I would have my own website where I could write literally anything and everything. Well, now I can. The fact is, when we write on a community blog site, we all need to follow certain rules and regulations. I felt sometimes it actually limits what you can or can not write. Frankly, that’s just one reason why I wanted to have my own site.

Building and maintaining a site is kind of problematic and could really be a pain in the neck, specially for non-techie individuals. Even though things has changed quite a bit now a days but it still requires certain amount of tech knowledge. Now, you got popular free and Open Source CMSs out there and you can literally pick any of them to get started. Simply get a domain name and hosting plan. Install the CMS and you are good to go. Things were not quite as smooth back in 2006 as it is now a days. Currently I am using WordPress CMS on my site and I am pretty Happy about it. Back in April 2015, I wrote a post on WordPress explaining why any Blogger or Site owner for that matter should use it. Feel free to check it out if you are interested.

Back to Blogging now! There were times when I could have written number of posts in a day. I think I did it because I really enjoyed writing and I still do. But for some wired or odd reasons I can’t do it anymore. Well, I got busy with my job and other things of life that we all need to go through but I still try. On every weekends, I try to put some of my free time on my site. Whether I am tweaking my code or writing something new, I do spent a big chunk of my time on this site.

If you are a regular visitor of my site, one important thing that you must have noticed that I write both on the Blog and Articles sections on this site. There is a simple reason behind that one as well. By profession I am a Web Developer and Designer. I learned things or two from my School and from my Professional work experiences. I write some of those issues or topics on Articles section which I believe could be useful for some. This is a way of separating things from my thoughts and ideas that I write on Blog sections. I think fundamentally they are very different in nature and I couldn’t find any reason to mix them up. I wrote those Articles with an approach to help someone to learn certain things, at least that was the intention. Blog is more of a personal than factual things. I hope you get the idea.

If you are also a Blogger and using WordPress CMS, you can easily do that using Custom Post Type (CPT) feature of WP. I wrote a “how to post” on this. Feel free to check it out if you like to.

Finally, I just want to say I am pretty excited and really looking forward to celebrate my 10th Blogging Anniversary. I also want to thank all of you for your support. Stay Blessed & Happy Blogging!
