Couple of weeks back I discussed and later on built my new computer. On a personal level I am quite happy with the performance of my new computer except one little thing thats bugging me since I finished my build. The very annoying and never stopping RGB LED that keeps flashing even after turning of my computer.
What I realized is that, almost all the Asus ROG (Republic of Gamers) motherboards has these RGB LED thingy as these products were intended to be for Gamers. Somehow, it seems like many gamers/people likes these RGB LEDs, so much so that they buy extra LEDs to connect with their motherboards. I was like WT…
The annoyance became very much intolerable for me and I had to fix it by any means. After spending few minutes thinking about the possible solution I thought of checking out the BIOS settings first. Even though I did check out the BIOS before I did not pay attention to this particular issue. Turns out, my BIOS has the necessary fix for this issue. This is what I had to do.
Step 1: Power on your computer and keep pressing F2 or DELETE button from your keyboard until you see the BIOS.
Step 2: Find and click on Advanced menu which should give you the following screen.

Step 3: Click on “Onboard Devices Configuration” menu item and you will see the following window.
BIOS RGB LED Options.
Step 4: Make necessary adjustments from the “RGB LED Lighting” section and you are good to go.
This is as simple as it can get.
Just in case if you are wondering how did I take those screenshots, simply remember that you can do the same as well. All you need to do is to connect a flash drive (formatted in FAT32) on any of your USB port and then get into your bios. Once you are on your desired window, simply press F12 button from your keyboard. A popup window will ask you for the location (drive) where you want to save the screenshot. All the screenshots are in BMP file format which you can convert to different file from from online as well.
