If you are planning to build an eCommerce site on WordPress platform, WooCommerce is most probably the best solution available out there. Perhaps the best thing about WooCommerce is, it’s totally free and doesn’t require whole lots of knowledge to get your site up and running. However, if you get stuck for some reason, simply Google it or go to YouTube to find some video tutorials to get rescued. There is a vibrant community out there to help out as well.

There are number of Free themes available in online that supports WooCommerce platform. You can also buy some of the premium themes from other theme developers. Now, those who are new to this, please remember that WooCommerce requires certain amount of coding knowledge, specially if you want to build your own custom theme that supports WooCommerce.

<?php
add_action('after_setup_theme','ib_add_woocommerce_support');
function ib_add_woocommerce_support() {
   add_theme_support('woocommerce'); }
?>

This is the snippet that you would require to add on your current theme’s “functions.php” page for your native theme to support WooCommerce.
