Wednesday when I checked my Facebook account, everything seemed pretty normal. I finished my first class and the headed for the nearest Coffee shop. I grabbed my breakfast as usual and was checking my Facebook account. That was the time when I first saw the story of three slain Muslim student in North Carolina.

I was stunned, shocked, devastated by this news. I am pretty sure that by now most of America knows what happened. I read quite a few report from different news sources and watched lots of videos. What I understand from all the reporting is that three bright young lives has been lost because of one Domestic Terrorist who had no respect for human lives.

These young individuals were Deah Barakat (23), his wife, Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha (21) and her sister Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha (19) were the students at the University of North Carolina. Deah Barakat and Yusor Mohmmad got married only couple of months back.

Police and local law enforcement agencies are still investigating the case. Craig Stephen Hicks has been arrested and charged with three counts of first degree murder. Like many other American, I also urge to our judicial system to serve rightful justice to the victims family for the heinous crime that Mr. Hicks committed. There is no place for racism, discrimination, violence or hate crime in America and justice must be served.

My heart goes to the Barakat and Abu-Salha family who lost their loved ones. I pray and hope that God give them the strength at this difficult time to overcome such a tragic loss. May God bless us all and the souls of these young man and women.
